Basic Usage Of Telescopic Police Baton
Basic usage of telescopic police baton
1、Wear telescopic batons correctly
There is a detail. When the police participate in the necessary training in actual combat, one of the training contents is "the use of batons". When giving the command of "taking out the baton", the police officers have different wearing of the baton cover on the multi-functional belt, and the batons in the set are not placed in a standard way. When taking out the baton, the instructor may not have done so In fact, the wearing of batons is also very particular. When police are on duty wearing multi-functional belts, they can put the telescopic baton into the baton cover in a folded state according to their habits. If they are used to taking sticks from the right side of the body with their right hands, the head of the sticks should be put into the left side stick cover downward; if they are used to taking sticks from the left side of the body with their right hands, the stick heads should be put into the left side stick sleeves. Violent attacks on police officers often occur in an instant. The above details of baton wearing can help to get the baton quickly in case of emergencies in actual combat. It is not necessary to look at the direction of the stick head and throw it out to lock it before use. In my opinion, the speed of taking out the baton will be affected by the restriction of taking the baton from the left side of the body, and it is more convenient and quick to take out and throw out the baton at the back right side.
2、 Holding method of telescopic baton
In order to give full play to the best strength and stability of the baton when waving, the correct grip method is to hold the baton tightly with five fingers, and finally leave a distance of about two fingers from the tail of the stick. It should be known that the tail of the baton that has not been thrown out can also hit the other party's head, neck, arm, back, rib and other parts.
3、 The posture of interrogation and vigilance with a stick
1. Cross examination posture with a stick: when there is no need to draw a gun but need to hold a stick for cross examination, face the other side, place the stick in the right hand (folded state) on the belt in front of the body, and put the palm of the left hand on the right hand to cover the baton as much as possible, which is a bit like the holding up guard posture when dressing for interrogation. The purpose is to get rid of the use quickly in case of attack, but without exposing the police equipment, so as to avoid the escalation of confrontation.
2. Stick holding guard posture (can be divided into three kinds of postures)
(1) Vertical stick holding: stand on your side, with your left foot in front, and your right hand holding the stick (which has been thrown out and locked), hold the stick vertically with your arm downward, the stick head downward, and the stick body hidden behind the right leg. Extend the left palm slightly forward or hold the belt buckle, and look at the other party to form a defensive posture.
(2) Forehand holding stick: stand on your side, feet slightly bent, left foot in front, right hand holding stick (locked), Baton on on the right shoulder, stick tail pointing to the other side, left hand palm slightly forward. The police may say that the instructor teaches the left hand to clench the fist into the boxing fighting style. In my opinion, the police should enforce the law in a civilized and gentle way. When they clench their fists, they are suspected of attacking and can easily intensify their emotions. What's more, they should embody the passive use of force, which is called "resistance control". It can also push away the opponent's body or hand to attack, and then implement the baton attack. In addition, the baton is placed on the right shoulder, and the tail of the stick points to the opponent's position, which can make the elbow of the right hand droop, better protect the right rib, and avoid being attacked by the other party due to too much open space. At the same time, holding the baton on on the shoulder is not easy to be robbed, and can attack instantly, attack and retreat. Fist sticks are the essence of China's martial arts, but this unassailable posture is not created by China's police but created by Western policemen in actual combat.
(3) Backhand holding stick Alert: when hitting the opponent with a baton and failing to hit the target, when the baton is thrown to the left side of the body, the right hand holds the stick under the armpit, the tail of the stick is still facing the opponent, and the left hand stands slightly forward. This defensive posture can launch another attack, but due to the backhand use, block and volley are OK, and the splitting attack is slightly insufficient.
4、 Several methods of throwing out batons in actual combat
1. Upward stick technique: after the baton is taken out from the stick cover with the right hand, the elbow is inclined upward, and the locking baton is thrown out outwards and laterally with the help of arm strength and wrist strength, forming a standing guard posture with the stick in hand. There must be enough space on the top of the head, otherwise it will not work smoothly.
2. Downward stick method: after the right hand takes out the baton from the stick cover, the elbow inclines downward. With the help of arm strength and wrist strength, swing the locking baton to the outside, and place the baton on on the right shoulder to form a defensive posture of holding the baton. Pay attention to whether there are companions or other objects beside or behind the staff, otherwise it will cause injury to others or the staff will not work smoothly.
3. Quick out stick method: in an emergency, hit while putting out the stick (similar to the way of putting out the stick upward), and there is no need to form a defensive posture.
4. Stick out technique: when the opponent is very close to your body, or there is not enough space to throw out the baton, that is to say, when the above-mentioned method can not be used, a unconventional method can be used: the right hand holds the stick in front of the chest, the head of the stick is upward, the use of arm strength and wrist force vertical upward shake out the baton, at the same time, downward vertical force and lock the stick body. This method has to be practiced many times. If the strength is not well mastered, it can not be used to lock and release the stick smoothly.
5、 Striking position of telescopic baton
Don't underestimate the power of the telescopic baton. If you hit it lightly, it will break your tendons and bones, and if it is heavy, it will lead to disability and death. Therefore, we must choose different hitting parts according to the degree of danger encountered.
1. Hit the radial nerve (lateral forearm), middle radial nerve (medial forearm), femoral nerve (medial thigh), tibial nerve (medial leg) and peroneal nerve (lateral thigh) of muscle groups in legs and arms. There are many nerve tissues on the muscle fibers of the above muscle groups, which can be used for visual impact
